Golden grass · Cerrado, Brazil

The grass that becomes gold.

Golden grass jewelry, designed by Orit and handwoven in the Cerrado. No two pieces are ever alike.

Portrait of Orit, the artist behind Oroboros

The artist

Meet Orit.

There is a person behind every weave. Orit — artist, traveller — first encountered golden grass in the Brazilian Cerrado, in the hands of the women who have woven it for generations. From that encounter, Oroboros was born.

"Gold, to me, is a plant."
